Power washing, or pressure washing, is the growing application of high pressure water spray. It is made of specially designed pumps that spray a hundred times more powerfully than the typical garden hose. Power washing is used on wooden decks to return to the look of new wood and to void fatigued finishes and graying.
On concrete it is used to remove unsightly bubble gum, mold, and other dirt and stains. And on homes, the appearance of siding is greatly improved by removing mildew, pollution, and other signs of neglect.
Firstly, if the chemicals were placed in high pressure, they will splash all over the place resulting in wasted solution. Secondly, chemical injection only works in low pressure, so you can change from low pressure to high pressure at the wand, instead of having to go back and forth to the unit and engage chemical injection.
Absolutely NOT! Hot water can cause damage to the pump and o-rings of the pressure washer. The maximum heat it should take is no more than 145?F. Note: some of our units have 160? F and 180? F max temperature pumps.
